Gujarat is a state in India famous for its textiles and textile art. Ahmedabad especially is famous as the biggest cotton and textile manufacturer in India.

I celebrated this craft with my logo design by using the shapes and patterns created by the Bandhani (or bandhej) style for the main image. I created the image of a blooming flower framed by a square, both common motifs in the bandhani style. The flower symbolizes the lotus flower, the national flower of India. And the square frames it all together. The colors of the elements are taken from the Olympic rings, the colors of the world, coming together to bloom in competitive sportsmanship.
